Up market Balham
This property located within the Heaver Estate Conservation area already had plenty of space; it just required some major internal alterations to make better use of the space.
Connecting Spaces
The new rear extension successfully connects a large open plan family room to the garden with substantial glazing and two large roof lights. At Croft Structural + Civil, we made use of our extensive knowledge of historic structures and modern design software to minimise the structural steels required to hold up the heavy loads. We were also challenged with finding a route to the foundations with the heavy loads and the added complication of an old brick cellar.

The hub of the house
The new dormer to the loft allowed for a new study and quiet space: whilst the extensively glazed rear addition became the 'hub' of the house with its new spacious kitchen living area.
