Modern Extensions and Ample Natural Light
Located between Wandsworth and Clapham, this Edwardian building was altered to suit the standards and expectations of 21st century living. The building was extended to the rear and to the side, involving generous use of external glazing to maximise the intake of natural daylight. The development preserved the original character of the building while accommodating a contemporary well-lit configuration suited for the modern home.
Cantilevered Roof Design for Seamless Glazed Extension
Working with Quartet Architecture, Croft designed structural steelwork to make it possible to have a cantilevered arrangement for the extension roof. This allowed for uninterrupted glazing to extend across the full width of the extension then return around the side.
