Enhancing space and illusion

Croft worked with Architect Jonathan Coombs to produce this lovely single storey rear extension creating a substantial open plan living space. A loft conversion was also required and improvements to the dark entrance hall The opening to the rear of the house was fairly significant spanning nearly 11 metres with sliding doors. In order to give the illusion that the original house was larger; Jonathan proposed an extra wing to the first floor, built of original bricks with a strong gable roof.

Tailored Solutions for Shallow Areas

Croft also provided elements specially designed to fit shallow areas and achieve the required regulation dimensions to the loft and staircase. Due to the size of the project it was completed in two phases, allowing the owner and his family to live in the first phase whilst the second phase was being completed.
