Building overview
This building was suffering from significant neglect over a number of years. The building fabric was in a poor condition and numerous repairs were required. The design required a new storey to be added to the building. To the rear of the building an additional three storeys were built on top of the old garage
Works required
internal layouts were to be completely re worked and flats formed on the upper three floors. The commercial areas retained on the ground and lower ground floors to remain.

Final design details
Croft Structural + Civil completed a detailed survey of the building from which repair details were specified. In depth calculations were undertaken on the loading to the rear garage foundations and were able to prove that they were acceptable for the new load. This allowed for a significant cost and time saving to the project. The calculations and drawings were completed for the conversion of the upper floors into flats
