Solid Foundations
Rocks Lane Sports Centre is one of numerous Sports Centres in West London under the Rocks Lane brand. We were originally retained by the Client to work on the complex foundation designs, less than 2m from the wall retaining the District Line through Chiswick.
Expert knowledge combined with 3D Design
Following some issues during the construction of the large steel-framed superstructure. We were able to use our extensive knowledge of steel construction and connection techniques to help provide: a full structural appraisal on the state of the structure & remedial advice for repair and alteration work This involved carrying out a full 3D analysis of the building modelled as constructed, which we were able to carry out in-house, showing how the building would deflect in its current state, and with the remedial works.
This is the distance our foundations were from the main exterior retaining wall to the distric lline.
Sustainable design
The advice we were able to provide the Client helped to see the building through construction to the wonderful finished building you can see today, without too much of the structure being needlessly removed.
